전기가 남는 추석 낮…전기차 충전료 ‘반값’으로 수요를 옮긴다

[ESG경제신문=신성은 기후에너지전문기자] 추석 연휴의 한낮, 한국 전력시장에서는 평소와 다른 일이 벌어진다. 전기가 부족해서가 아니라 오히려 전기가 남을 가능성이 커지기 때문이다.공장과 산업단지가 쉬면서 전력수요는 크게 줄어들지만 태양은 계속 뜬다. 태양광 발전소에서는 낮 동안 전기가 생산된다. 수요는 줄었는데 발전량이 일정 수준 이상 유지되면 전력계통은 공급과 수요의 균형을 맞추기 위해 발전량을 줄여야 한다. 경우에 따라서는 태양광 등 재생에너지의 출력을 제한해야 한다.정부가 이번 추석에 꺼낸 카드는 발전을 줄이는 대신 전력수요

Amendments To Import Requirements for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza

Current APHIS regulations specify that live birds and other avian commodities may not be exposed to highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) or sourced from premises quarantined for HPAI within the 90 days immediately preceding export to the United States. We are proposing to reduce this timeframe to 28 days preceding export to the United States. This action is necessary to align APHIS regulations with international standards regarding HPAI transmission. This action would allow foreign regions to resume the export of live birds and other avian commodities to the United States sooner following an outbreak of HPAI, while still providing adequate safeguards that the importation of the birds or other avian commodities does not present a risk of disseminating HPAI within the United States.

Air Plan Approval; Alabama; Transportation Conformity

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or Agency) is approving a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of Alabama, through the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) on April 7, 2026. The SIP revision replaces the previously approved transportation conformity memorandum of agreement (MOA) with an updated MOA concerning transportation conformity criteria and procedures related to interagency consultation, conflict resolution, public participation, and enforceability of certain transportation-related control and mitigation measures. The SIP revision also makes a minor stylistic change to the Transportation Conformity and General Conformity rules in the Alabama SIP. The EPA has determined that Alabama's April 7, 2026, SIP revision is consistent with the applicable provisions of the Clean Air Act (CAA or Act).

재생농업 환경속성 시장 열리나...등록부 등장

[ESG경제신문=이신형기자] 재생농업을 통한 온실가스 감축 실적을 환경속성인증서(EAC)로 만들어 거래하는 시장 출범이 가시화하고 있다.기술 기반 탄소 제거 크레딧 인증 및 등록부 운영기관인 퓨로어스(Puro.earth)는 재생농업 환경속성인증서 등록부를 출범시켰다고 밝혔다.퓨로어스는 이 등록부 개설을 자사의 탄소 제거 사업 인증 및 등록부 인프라와 방법론과 거버넌스를 새로운 재생농업 환경속성 시장으로 확장하는 사업이라고 소개했다. 여기에는 밀폰트(MillPont)가 제공하는 환경속성의 원천이 되는 지리 정보 인프라가 활용된다.밀폰

고려아연, 영풍·MBK發 지급수수료 ‘덤터기’...연간 3000억 넘을 수도

[ESG경제신문=김대우 기자] 고려아연과 영풍·MBK파트너스 간 경영권 분쟁이 2년째 이어지면서 회사가 부담하는 각종 자문·소송 관련 비용도 빠르게 불어나고 있다. 올해는 상반기에만 2000억원에 육박하는 만큼 연간 기준 3000억원을 넘어설 가능성도 거론된다.다만 회계상 ‘지급수수료’에는 법률자문뿐 아니라 세무·회계 자문, 각종 용역비 등이 함께 포함된다. 따라서 전체를 경영권 분쟁에 따른 법률비용으로 단정할 수는 없다. 그럼에도 분쟁 과정에서 김앤장 등 대형로펌 선임과 각종 가처분·본안소송, 주주총회 관련 법률 대응이 이어지고
